Here are another 7 Suspenseful Sentences from my work in progress. It is a Paranormal Romance which stars a Vampire, a human female and a cast of undead creatures.
Something fell and time stood still. Sasha clutched her palms to her chest. The unexplained sounds she suffered through grew shorter and faster as whatever she heard appeared to rock itself to silence.
The vital organ her hands covered pained her with fear and she found herself unable to move. The sound she heard came from above her. Without any other movement, her eyes crawled upward. She could not see a thing.
